Vanguard Energy Partners is always proud to be an active contributor to the communities we work and live in. This past August, our Backbone construction team showcased this value with a large backpack donation to Broad Ford Elementary School in Garrett County. The event was coordinated by two members of the VEP team, Site Safety Manager Santee Garcia, and Larry Whittet, Director of Executive Business Operations. Both saw the opportunity as a great way to give back to the surrounding community and to begin building a relationship with the locals. Our team contacted the Community School Specialist, and she expressed the need some students have for school supplies. Our team set up a donation plan and from there the members of the VEP family exhibited their exceptional generosity. In total, we were able to donate 45 backpacks, all filled with a variety of school supplies, for those in the area who needed assistance.
As a family-oriented company, we at Vanguard Energy Partners are thrilled to know that our team has personally improved the year for 45 young students, giving them the chance to flourish in the classroom. Some of our VEP teammates have children attending Broad Ford Elementary School and knowing that we are improving the experience for some of our own children’s classmates is an incredibly enriching feeling. We are always looking for ways to serve our community, whether it be a backpack drive or a charity event, at VEP, we believe in making the world a better place, always.
