Vanguard Energy Partners Celebrates Safety Construction Week Across Five Active Project Sites
At Vanguard Energy Partners (VEP), safety is more than a program. It is a commitment that guides every decision we make in the field. During this year’s Construction Safety Week, that commitment was on full display as our leadership and safety teams traveled to five active project sites across three states to recognize the men and women who make safety a daily priority.
Throughout the week, teams gathered at our Waller, Hornet, Bear Branch, Maple Leaf, and Backbone projects for safety discussions, shared meals, and employee appreciation events. The week provided an opportunity to bring together field personnel, project leadership, and corporate support teams to reinforce the importance of working safely while recognizing the dedication required to deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects.
As VEP continues to grow, Construction Safety Week has become an important reminder that our success is built on more than megawatts completed. It is built on every employee returning home safely at the end of each day.

Throughout the week, Gordon Johnson led daily safety discussions focused on situational awareness, communication, and the shared responsibility every person has to protect their teammates. Each site also hosted appreciation lunches and raffle giveaways as a thank you to the crews whose hard work continues to drive VEP’s projects forward.
At VEP, safety is integrated into every phase of construction. From planning and pre-task discussions to quality execution and continuous improvement, we believe that building the right way begins with building safely.
