Hall's Warehouse Corporation provides frozen, refrigerated and dry storage in seven state-of-the-art warehouses in central New Jersey.

Hall’s Warehouse – 501

System Size

1.269 MW

Type of Financing

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) provided by enXco Development Corp.

Technology Used

Roof mounted DC photovoltaic (PV) system using 971 kW of First Solar and 298 kW of Unisolar. Xantrex inverters were used.

Project Highlights

The combined installations at Hall's serve as one of the largest rooftop mounted solar installations in North America. The estimated production is approximately 1,430 MWh of energy, which is equivalent to the avoided emissions of 2,264,147 lbs. of CO2. This is comparable to taking 188 cars off of the road, conserving 116,572 gallons of gasoline or the preservation 7.2 acres of forest annually.

Hall’s Warehouse – 601

System Size

1.194 MW

This project consisted of two phases:

  • Phase I  – 697 kW system
  • Phase II – 497 kW system.

Type of Financing

  • Phase I of this project is owned by Jayne Enterprises.
  • Phase II is a PPA provided by enXco Development Corp.

Technology Used

  • Roof mounted DC photovoltaic (PV) system using SolarWorld modules
  • Phase I  – First Solar
  • Phase II – Xantrex and Satcon inverters were used.

Project Highlights

The estimated production is 1,310 MWh of energy, which is equivalent to the avoided emissions of 2,079,480 lbs. of CO2. This is comparable to taking 173 cars off of the road or conserving 107,064 gallons of gasoline annually.

Hall’s Warehouse – 330

System Size

700 kW

This project consisted of two phases:

• Phase I  – 697 kW system
• Phase II – 497 kW system.

Type of Financing

This project is owned by Jayne Enterprises.

Technology Used

Roof mounted DC photovoltaic (PV) system using Schott Solar modules and Satcon inverters

Project Highlights

The estimated first year production is approximately 770,000 kWh of energy - approximately 75% of the power for this facility, which is equivalent to the avoided emissions of 1,219,126 lbs. of CO2 . This is comparable to taking 101 cars off of the road, conserving 62,768 gallons of gasoline and 1,286 barrels of oil annually.
