Roof mounted DC photovoltaic (PV) system using 971 kW of First Solar and 298 kW of Unisolar. Xantrex inverters were used.
The combined installations at Hall's serve as one of the largest rooftop mounted solar installations in North America. The estimated production is approximately 1,430 MWh of energy, which is equivalent to the avoided emissions of 2,264,147 lbs. of CO₂. This is comparable to taking 188 cars off of the road, conserving 116,572 gallons of gasoline or the preservation 7.2 acres of forest annually.
578 kW
Turn–Key design, engineering and construction.
System partially financed with $1,464,734 rebate from the New Jersey Clean Energy Program.
The 578 kW system consists of three components: a 480 kW ground mount, a 69 kW roof mount and a 30 kW canopy structure over the filtration tank. Kyocera and BP Solar modules were used.
The Town of Morristown, NJ, should expect electrical output of 635,800 kWh in the first year, which is equivalent to the avoided emissions of 1,006,649 lbs. of CO2. This is comparable to taking 81 cars off of the road, conserving 51,828 gallons of gasoline or the preservation of 3.2 acres of forest annually.

New Jersey's largest public solar energy system, the SCIA solar installation consists of more than 30 sites throughout Somerset County, New Jersey—including schools, libraries, public works buildings, community centers, and administrative buildings. Collectively, the systems will generate an estimated 9,744,579 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, reducing CO2 emissions by 6,719 metric tons per year. This is comparable to taking 1,318 cars off the road per year, or conserving 753,229 gallons of gasoline annually.
